BORN: In Prague, Czechoslovakia.

I moved to U.S.A. long time ago, became a Citizen of U.S.A. and currently live and paint in Portland, Oregon.

ART EDUCATION: Mostly self-taught, with the help of Artist's shows on TV, and the Artist's books.

MEDIUM, PAINT STYLE: Oil on canvas, expressionist, colorist.

FIRST ART SALE: First ever was right here in Portland in Christmas Market Sale, 1995.  I sold 25 paintings and was elated, people liked my paintings and they will have them now on their walls as a part of their decor. Later in Boulder City, NV in 2005 - I sold painting of pink roses to young girl (a present for her mom's birthday). It seems silly, but I like to know that my paintings will have a nice home. 

OTHER PASSIONS: Reading, sewing and traveling.

PRICE RANGE: $200.00 -1500.00

NEXT GOAL: I would like to have my pictures hanging in grade schools and in hospital rooms and hospital hallways;  people heal faster when they look at a peaceful art.  I need to find a gallery to represent my work, so I would be able to paint full time and maintain my career as an artist.

MY ART HISTORY: I started painting in 1992, and got a lot of satisfaction and very good feedback from family and friends. I never thought that amounts to much, they wanted dinner after all. My kids are adults now and they still like my roses and landscapes. My family lived in Las Vegas for a while and I joined Boulder City Artist Guild. It was in Vegas I had participated in Art in the Park Show in 2004, Art Festival in Boulder City 2005 and was a member of BCAG which allowed me to have a show for entire year in BCAG Gallery. Members had to share responsibilities of running the Gallery on their own. I was the happiest when I had to "serve." The Gallery operates as a Co-op Association. The whole process of creating, documenting and showing art is very fulfilling one for me.
